Nollywood star actor Yul Edochie has revealed that his support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections is based on divine direction.
Speaking
on The Honest Bunch podcast, Edochie said God has always shown him who to
support during elections and continues to direct him toward Tinubu.
He
stated that he intends to stand by the president because of what he described
as clear instruction from God.
“Because
I want to support him and God — I have said it before in an interview — God has
always shown me who to support, and he keeps showing me Tinubu, and I am going
to stand by him”, he said.
When
asked if God is involved in elections, Edochie affirmed that God is involved in
his own decisions and has shown him where to go.
“I
don’t know if he is involved on your side, but he is involved in mine; he
showed me where to go,” he said.
Edochie
remains one of the most vocal celebrity supporters of Tinubu and the ruling All
Progressives Congress.
His
political stance has repeatedly attracted criticism on social media.
