Today Extra! is
the first general-interest publication in Nigeria to be completely owned,
staffed and operated by PWDs (persons with disabilities). The publication is
also one of the very few media platforms in the country to dedicate a full beat
(PWDs Corner) to issues bothering persons with disabilities.
As a
result of the above, we have a mandate to impact the disabilities community
with empowerment programmes aimed at alleviating the plight of persons with
disabilities, especially with respect to social stigma and empowerment.
You
can be part of this project by partnering with us. Collectively, we can impact
the lives of persons with disabilities by addressing the physical, attitudinal,
and systemic barriers that limit their full participation in society.
