Nollywood star actress, Ngozi Nwosu, has appealed to Nigerians for financial support to raise ₦30 million for three urgent life-saving surgeries, saying she has been hospitalised for three weeks and can no longer cope with the cost of her treatment.
The actress made the appeal in an emotional video
shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, where she pleaded with her fans,
family and colleagues not to abandon her as she battles her illness.

“My people, my fans and my family, I know that
you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for
three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control,” she said.
A visibly emotional Nwosu added, “I need your help.
Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me… I’m begging you, my
fans and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot, as in
pain.”
The veteran actress disclosed that she has “like
three surgeries to go through with,” urging well-wishers to contact her
management if they wished to support her treatment.
“Please don’t let me die. If there’s anything you
want to do for me, please contact my management. They’ll be there for you.
Thank you. God bless you,” she said.
In the caption accompanying the video, Nwosu said
it was difficult to publicly ask for help but that the urgency of her medical
condition left her with no choice.
“My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was
really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent
life-saving surgeries. Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if
you can,” she wrote.
She added that the “total amount needed for all
surgeries is: N30,000,000,” and asked supporters to contact her legal
representative or management for details.
Nwosu prayed that her illness would never befall
others, saying, “God bless you and may you and yours never experience this
affliction.”
Ngozi Nwosu is a veteran actress and producer best
known for her roles in Ripples, Living in Bondage, and Fuji House of Commotion.
Trained at the Royal Theatre Art Club
School under Reverend Fabian Oko, the actress started her career
performing in Yoruba-language stage and
screen productions. She eventually rose to early prominence, playing
"Madam V-Boot" in the hit television soap opera Ripples, and later made
her historic home-video debut in Living in Bondage (1992).
